Our work with both domestic and international clients continues to expand, and as we aim to elevate the quality of our creative output and scale as a team, the role of a Creative Director has become essential.
We are looking for someone who can grasp the essence of a brand, balancing a global perspective with a deep understanding of the Japanese market. Someone who embraces cross-functional collaboration and inspires the team to raise the creative bar together.
Now, as our project portfolio grows, we believe it is the right moment to bring on a Creative Director who can help us maintain creative consistency and distinctiveness while leading YL’s brand and creative vision forward.
- ROLE REQUIREMENTS

- Knowledge of the Japanese market and ability to lead brand storytelling and creative expression with a global perspective.
- Ability to shape brand concepts, visual tone, and end-to-end creative direction.
- Strong attention to quality and ability to execute across design, video, and content production.
- Ability to bring out the full potential of the team and foster member growth.
- Able to build trust with clients and compellingly present and realize ideas.
- Keen awareness of trends and culture, with flexibility to incorporate them.
- Ability to lead projects and the team with an eye toward scaling YL’s business.
- QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE

- Business level English or higher (due to many global projects).
- 5+ years experience in an agency or branding/creative role.
- Experience across design, video, digital experiences, and events.
- Ability to manage creative quality consistently from concept to final output.

Business Development Lead – Educational Business (Full-time)

Internship

At YL, we love to work with fresh talent and cherish the opportunity to offer creatives the chance to develop and grow through real-world, on-the-job experience.
YL is currently looking for Tokyo-based interns interested in creative strategy and ideation to work alongside the internal YL team on a range of projects, both for external clients and in-house projects.
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn are more important than past experience. Ideally, you’d be able to communicate fluently in English and/or Japanese as those are the main languages used in the office.
- WE'RE LOOKING FOR THE FOLLOWING:

- Fluent in English, with Japanese ability a plus
- Knowledge/ understanding of social media trends
- Ability to create digital content for social media

- Office/ remote hybrid work model is possible
- Time dedication is flexible, but ideally, we'd like someone who can dedicate 24 hours per week for a minimum of 3 months.
