OVERVIEW
JNTO (The Japan National Tourism Organization) is the main tourism body of Japan. Established in 1964, its role focuses on promoting travel to and in the country. Get Lost Magazine is a proudly independent travel magazine based in Melbourne, Australia.
As part of an initiative to encourage more intrepid travel across Japan - with a focus on ship travel - Y+L Projects was commissioned to visit the Oki Islands of Shimane and Iriomote and Ishigaki Islands in Okinawa to create a series of articles to inform and inspire international guests to visit.
Y+L Projects visited the areas to do on-ground research and photography. The outcome was a series of in-depth articles covering all facets of the areas’ most fascinating points of interest, which everyone can access via the Get Lost Magazine website.
