CHALLENGE

VanMoof is one of the most prominent powerhouse players on the e-bike scene. The now globally recognized brand has been making waves in Tokyo in recent times thanks to their artfully design electric bikes.

VanMoof asked Y+L Projects to produce, direct, land shoot video content for their Youtube channel series. Y+L Projects were responsible for brand and customer communication strategies through video content creation for the Tokyo segment of the video.

SOLUTION

For this campaign, we focused on rider Yuka who owns and rides the Electrified X2, one of the brand’s latest models. In the video, we wanted to encapsulate the feelings and benefits of being a VanMoof bike owner.

Yuka is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu trainee who uses her VanMoof bike daily to get around Tokyo. We followed her getting to and from her jiu-jitsu studio, capturing her regular commute on her VanMoof bike, while discussing the benefits of the bike’s anti-theft and rider recognition abilities.

RESULT

We produced cutting edge, concise video content that could be edited to fit a global narrative tracing VanMoof cyclists around the globe. The videos are also on the VanMoof official YouTube account and shared across the company’s socials.

VanMoof is more than just a bicycle

This video proves that riding a VanMoof is more than just a way to get around, it’s a key to unlocking a better way of life.
